More than a restaurant

ARNO ristorante is all about enjoying food together. The name Arno is a nod to the river that flows through Tuscany: a region that deeply inspires our chef. Our Tuscan cuisine brings together refined flavours, high-quality ingredients, and warm hospitality in an elegant, accessible setting.

Our dishes are rooted in Italian traditions and prepared with the finest seasonal ingredients. This allows us to create flavours that do justice to the cuisine and surprise the palate.

We welcome you to a contemporary, warm interior. A beloved spot where you can find a moment of peace, away from the city’s hustle and bustle. Here you can get a taste of Tuscany in Ghent. At the same time, it is a lively, inviting meeting place where international travellers and gourmets come together around refined dishes, good company, and a shared passion for authentic flavours.

Chef Louis Verstrepen

Celebrated chef Louis Verstrepen brings his culinary expertise and signature style to ARNO ristorante. Trained in top international restaurants and known for his precise, flavour-driven cuisine, he works in the kitchen every week alongside a close-knit team. For Louis, ARNO ristorante is more than just a restaurant: it is his translation of the Italian soul into Ghent: familiar and family-oriented, but with a fresh take on tradition. A place where guests feel welcome and where every detail, from product selection to presentation, tells a story of authenticity and refinement.

Sustainable cooking is a given for us. At ARNO ristorante, we believe that enjoyment and responsibility go hand in hand. Like the other entities at Akkerhage Centre, we are committed to keeping our environmental footprint as small as possible. We do this by consciously choosing seasonal, locally sourced products, minimising food waste, and working with suppliers who adhere to high environmental and social standards.
